Nature Writing Program Coordinator: Kurt Heidinger, Ph.D.
Dr. Heidinger is a writer and conservationist, currently a visiting professor at the Center of Environmental Philosophy and a postdoctoral researcher at the UNT Department of Philosophy. He is working on theoretical and practical aspects for the development of the Omora Nature Writing Program. Contact: kurt.heidinger@omora.org

Local Coordinador: Sandra Vallejo.
Ms. Vallejo is a journalist by profession with a masters in scientific journalist from the University of Chile. In her capacity as Local Coordinator of the Omora NGO she is responsible for the administration of projects, infrastructure, personnel and finances of the organization.

Coordinator of Field Research: Steven McGehee.
Mr. McGehee is Vice-President of the Omora Sub-Antarctic Research Alliance and helps coordinate field research activities between the multiple institutions that work in the Cape Horn area. He has more than 7 years of experience studying the birds of the Chilean temperate forests and 21 years working in tropical ornithology.

Coordinator of Local Education: Ximena Arango.
Ms. Arango is a Columbian graduate student, carrying out her M.S. thesis about the Magellanic woodpecker (Campephilus magellanicus) at the Universidad de Magallanes. Her role in the Omora Park is to carry out local environmental education programs with the school in Puerto Williams.

Coordinator for Europe: Uta Berghoefer, M.A., M.S.
Berghoefer is completing her Ph.D. in geography within the Biokonchil project, looking at people's perceptions and values of nature. In addition, she provides guidance and orientation for volunteers and students from Europe wishing to carry out projects in the Omora Park.

Coordinator for the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve Initiative: Augustin Berghoefer, M.A.
Mr. Berghoefer is currently completing a Ph.D. in political science at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, which relates to the administration of Biosphere Reserves. In this capacity he also serves as Omora's liaison with UNESCO and helps lead the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve Initiative.

Coordinator for Ecotourism: Mitzi Acevedo, M.Sc.
Ms. Acevedo is the coordinator for the ecotourism degree at the Universidad Andres Bello in Vina del Mar. In this capacity she advises on topics of ecotourism and also helps coordinate student projects and internships at the UNAB.
