Biographical Information
Daniel was born and raised in Dallas, TX and attended Jesuit College Preparatory School. He comes from a family of lawyers and had an affinity toward discourse and argumentation from an early age. Daniel came to UNT as a jazz guitar major but suffered from a hand injury within the first year of his studies and decided to explore new horizons. After taking a contemporary moral issues class that rekindled his love for rhetoric and problem solving Daniel took up philosophy and never looked back. As an Eagle Scout, he developed a kinship with nature that continues to guide his philosophical interests which include:
- Environmental Philosophy and Policy
- Philosophy of Food and Agriculture
- International Law
- Science and Technology Studies
- Political Philosophy and a range of Environmental, Legal, and Social Implications studies
Daniel's personal interests include music (he plays in the touring progressive rock band The Raven Charter), politics, football (American and European), and travel. Daniel intends on pursuing a career in environmental/water/mineral rights law or obtaining a PhD and continuing on in philosophy.
