Samantha has been a Master's Student in the department since Fall of 2008. She is currently a Teaching Assistant.

Biographical Information

Samantha was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised on a horse ranch in Bonham, Texas. She graduated from UNT with a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting and a B.A. in English - Literature. Her first taste of philosophy came in her art theory classes, but it wasn't until a few years later that she began taking philosophy classes at UNT out of personal interest. She fell deeply in love, and here she is.

Samantha is also an actress, a visual artist who specializes in painting, object-making and installation, and she is a musician. She has been in the internationally known rock band, jetscreamer, for ten years as well as numerous other projects. She continues to be active in the Denton music and art community. She is also active in animal interests, particularly Animal Disaster Rescue and the many issues surrounding such work. These interests as well as many others all feed into her philosophical interests, and she looks forward to seeing where her path will take her while in the program.
