Mark has been a Doctoral Student in the department since Fall of 2006. He is currently writing his dissertation in environmental justice, titled "The Environmental is Political! Toward a Critical Geography of Environmental Justice." He is the recipient of a 2006 Doctoral Fellowship from the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies. He is also the recipient of a 2007-2010 Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada.

Biographical Information
I'm originally from Ottawa, but have also lived in Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, and Denton. I have past work experience with the Canadian Environmental Network, as a lecturer for the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, and also as a Chevron full-service gas attendant. My present research interests are concerned with environmental justice, social political philosophy, critical theory/geography, and evolutionary biology. Hobbies include novels, documentaries, pizza, the color brown, Sonic Youth, Manners, the "Great Outdoors," and Wolfe Lake Jake.
