Organizations
- The Center for Environmental Philosophy encourages and supports workshops, conferences and other special projects, including postgraduate research in the field.
- The Center for the Study of Interdisciplinarity seeks to develop the theory and practice of interdisciplinarity writ large. Pursuing its research through case studies, CSID seeks to develop a set of best practices for inter- and transdisciplinary research--with particular concern with making the humanities more socially relevant.
- The Institute of Applied Sciences develops research and educational programs on environmental issues facing Texas, the U.S. and the world, with emphasis on water, land, people and communities. The Master of Science and the Ph.D. in Environmental Science are available for students seeking careers as environmental professionals in government or business or as university professors.
