PhD Requirements / How to Apply

The application process consists of three parts: application to UNT, application to the Philosophy program, and application to the Philosophy PhD program's sister institution, the University of Texas at Arlington, as a special student. Application for admission to the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies is made through the UNT graduate school. More information about that application process can be found here. Application to UTA as a special student should not be sent until admitted to the UNT program.

NOTE: Applications to the Philosophy graduate programs will only be considered for Fall semesters. No new students will be admitted in Spring semesters. The deadline for application is February 1. GRE scores must be submitted with your application to the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies for the department to consider it.

All other details concerning application and requirements can be found in the Cooperative Philosophy PhD Program Handbook.
